Looking for each other
We were walking without looking for each other, yet knowing that we were walking to meet each other.... This phrase, so poetic and imbued with meaning, inspired me to reflect on the beauty of chance encounters in our lives. How many times have we run into people who, without knowing it, would have a significant impact on our path?
“We went around without looking for each other, but knowing we went around to find each other.” (Julio Cortázar, “Hopscotch”)
In photography, as in life, we are often faced with moments that seem random but turn out to be the most meaningful encounters. It is as if the universe weaves an invisible web, guiding us along a path made up of people, places and moments that shape our experience.
Each shot is an encounter with the infinite, a moment suspended in time that reminds us how interconnected we all are in this great mosaic of existence.
We walk without looking for each other, yet knowing that we walk to meet each other.... Perhaps this is precisely the secret of the beauty of life: letting ourselves be surprised by the encounters that fate has in store for us, knowing that each encounter brings with it a new possibility for growth, learning and connection with the world around us.
