Today I would like to share my experience in discovering nature photography, an exciting journey that led me to fall in love with this genre of photography as well.
I always thought that it was not my favorite genre of photography, although I have always been fascinated by the beauty of nature. Yet, it was the discovery of nature photography that gave my creativity a boost.
A key element that fueled my passion was observing the pictures of other photographers like me during a time when we were posting our photos on a site called Photoblog. Looking at the shots of more experienced photographers was an incredibly inspiring experience. I discovered a world of beauty and wonder that until then had eluded me. Those photographs not only inspired me, but also sparked in me the desire to try to capture the same beauty with my camera.
I began to spend more time outdoors, exploring parks, natural reserves and trails. I learned, as the days passed, when and where I could take the best images. I experimented with different photographic techniques, learning how to better adjust aperture, shutter speed and ISO to use light creatively.
In conclusion, nature photography has been one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had. It has allowed me to explore the beauty of the natural world and to share my discoveries with others through my photographs. Nature offers us endless treasures to discover, all we need is a camera and a little passion to begin this amazing journey.
Ausente, por los sueños tu corazón navega,
pero tu cuerpo asà abandonado respira
buscándome sin verme, completando mi sueño
como una planta que se duplica en la sombra.
---
Absent, your heart navigates its dreams.
But your body thus abandoned breathes,
searching though not seeing me, completing my sleep
like a plant that matches itself in the shadow.
---
Assente il tuo cuore naviga pei sogni,
ma il tuo corpo così abbandonato respira
cercandomi senza vedermi, completando il mio sonno
come una pianta che si duplica nell'ombra.
(Pablo Neruda, “Cien sonetos de amor”, Soneto LXXXIII)
