A special place: Giovinazzo
On many occasions I have returned to Giovinazzo, a place that has consistently occupied a central position in my photographic world and beyond. From the very first shots, I felt an inner impulse to return there whenever the opportunity presented itself, as if I were in constant search of something or someone, uniquely dedicated to me.
Among the many photographs captured in Giovinazzo, this was my “heartfelt” choice. Taken in November 1999 using black and white film, I personally printed this image during a “Black and White Printing” course led masterfully by Francesco De Napoli. This photo represents a perfect marriage of two passions: the beauty of Giovinazzo and the art learned during Francesco's course.
Without a doubt, one of my most appreciated and, for me, meaningful shots.
